The kiss takes inspiration from the 2017 film, but the background is loosely inspired by the background of the same moment from the 1991 film. It would have been hilarious since its actually a bunch of kids with pranks vs. If I had more patience, I would have drawn the AU’s equivalent of the castle brawl scene. It looked almost identical to Belle’s and I HAD to use that design. The ball gown is based of a 1950’s ball gown I saw. By the way, thank you for all the mental images you gave me, Rigamaroo. Yes, I snuck Rigamaroo and myself in these drawings. it kind of looks like a well designed bowling shirt. I designed Ree’s enchanter outfit (yes really, he’s got the role of the Enchantress) off the design of the stained glass version of the Enchantress.
I thought giving Erica glasses was a cute idea. I feel like mine is something a kid could have easily made). (Their’s is a bit more creative, to be honest. My take on Krupp’s beast form is not the same as Rigamaroo’s take, but it was CLOSE to their take. Yeah, there was a LOT of discussing about this AU.) This AU uses the dreams from the original story, so… guess how we got to use CU for this AU. (Also, you might want to read our discussions in order to understand some of the images. Which is why I put up the ‘keep reading’ tab for everyone’s sanity. Because there were a lot of good ideas we shared for this and since Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite Disney film and I ADORE this AU… well, I went a little TOO overboard on this. After talking about this AU so much with I opted to make drawings.
